Description
HERE ARE SOME BUS TICKETS FROM MT. PINE BUS LINE LOCATED IN HOT SPRINGS ARKANSAS. THE LONG STRIPS WERE GOOD FOR TEN RIDES BETWEEN HOT SPRINGS AND MT. PINE BLAKELY DAM. THE SMALLER LIGHT BLUE ONE WERE GOOD FOR ONE CONTINUOUS TRIP. THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY WAS D.E. WOLF. THE LONGER TICKETS WERE ACTUALLY TWO STRIPS BUT CAME APART FROM BEING FOLDED OVER TIME. NOT SURE OF THE EXACT AGE BUT FAIRLY CERTAIN THESE WERE USED BY CONSTRUCTION WORKERS STAYING IN HOT SPRINGS AND RIDING THE BUS TO THE WORK SITE AT THE DAM. HERE IS SOME INFO ON THE PROJECT:Blakely
Mountain
Dam
was
built
by the United States Army Corps of Engineers from 1948 to 1953 for hydroelectric power, recreation, water supply and wildlife conservation. The
dam
is 231 feet tall, 1,100 feet long at the crest, and is capable of 75 megawatts. The lake is located near Hot Springs,
Arkansas
. THE ONLY REFERENCE I FOUND ON THE COMPANY IS THEY WERE IN BUSINESS AS LATE AS 1953. OTHER THAN BEING SEPARATED AT A SEAM, SOME LIGHT DISCOLORATION AND A SLIGHT SMELL FROM STORAGE THEY ARE IN GOOD SHAPE.
