A few months ago I purchased a small collection of Jewish World War Two related items, including some self-published books that are memorials for Jewish soldiers killed in the American Armed Forces. I could not find any information about these books doing an internet search, so I just set them aside. I was very surprised to see a copy of one of the different types of memorial books I got shown here offered on eBay last week, which is the last photo shown. That copy had some heavy wear to the edges of the covers, some oil staining to the top of the pages, and some dog-eared fraying to some of the edges of the pages, and it sold for 4. You can enter that item number and click the sold auctions box and see the photos for yourself for that listing. The copy I am showing is in BEAUTIFUL CONDITION. It even has the "unopened" look where the first few pages do not lay flat down, the binding has not been "cracked". No stains anywhere, no damage to any pages, no pen inscription, nothing.
