Vintage Brown with Metal Accents Brown Elephant Figurine
This is truly an interesting elephant figurine with its wood, or wood-like look and metal textures. To be totally honest, I cannot tell what exactly it is made of! To look at it I would think it’s made of wood, but to feel it, and tap on it, I am not sure if it’s some kind of faux wood or resin. Either way, it is a unique piece. The elephant is adorned with what seem to be metal ears, tail, and a very intricately designed metal covering on its back. I believe his silver tusks are painted. He is standing tall on all fours with trunk up high. It stands about 11 ½ inches tall and is about 5 inches wide. It weighs over a pound. There is no maker’s mark. It appears to be hand made.
The condition is used. It is in very good used condition. There are a few spots here and there where the brown finish has been scratched off. The tip of his trunk especially has the finished rubbed off. Please look at photos carefully. Its metal tail seems to be securely attached, but is a little loose. And please understand that I cannot guarantee exactly what this figurine is made of.
