This is the #1 book on the famous Polish Vis Radom Pistol - originally published in 2011 by Wet Dog Publications with strictly black & white photography.  Now reprinted by "Wet Dog" (at the urging of myself and others) and features  FULL COLOR photography to boot.  Absolute "must have" for all SERIOUS Vis Radom collectors.
The photography - now in FULL COLOR - show the guns as they appear "in person" / in "real life" - something B&W photography cannot convey.  The book itself is substantially larger (in thickness) and considerably heavier due to the much improved PAPER QUALITY...heavy duty "GLOSSY".   In fact the book appears to be almost 50% THICKER than the first edition.  Other than the text - this looks like a totally different book!!!  So, even if you already have a 2011 first edition - if you're a serious Vis Radom collector - this an absolute must!!!

VIS Radom is the first comprehensive work aimed at detailing all models and variations of the Polish VIS pistol. The author's analytical approach looks at the origins of the gun and details a host of new revelations about the pistol and its design. Parts and assemblies are reviewed and profusely illustrated. Aside from the usual assembly/disassembly and takedown, the author delves into the pistol's history and manufacture. Working with collectors in the U.S. and Europe, a wealth of new information is unveiled. Illustrated for the first time are many period and wartime documents, period photos and technical drawings. All models and variants, including prototypes as well as holsters, shoulder stocks, ammunition, accessories, tools and accoutrements are covered.
A section of the book involves a photographic gallery which details the entire production run including pre-war models as well as the entire wartime manufacture. The wartime gallery illustrates every serial number letter code prefix, showing the deterioration of quality and production simplifications as dictated by the war's progression. Other sections cover pistols of the Polish underground, non VIS pistols and even rifles made at Radom.
