*** This remote control has an effective range of roughly 65 feet in open space. Walls will decrease the range but if you are in the next room, it should still set the alarm off. If you are say, upstairs on the other side of the house, it may not work. It highly depends on how big the house is.
** To pair the 2nd remote control: you have to use the learn feature to pair the second remote to work with the unit. You will press the learn button on the back until it beeps. Then you need to press and hold any button on the remote. It will beep to confirm it has been added to the dog alarm.
If not working properly, then we need you to confirm the process you followed to learn the remote to the barking dog unit. What we need to confirm is if something did not work when learning the code. You need to try one unit at a time.  Please confirm how they were setup and tested by following the instructional manual.
