We are offering a unique archive of the week of July 1, 1942 thru July 8th 1942z.
Each day will have at least 5-6 different editions that came out daily, from 6AM to Final.
All are bound in a hard cover , thick board edition that weighs over 50 pounds
When we first purchased this wonderful archive, we were primarily struck about the war overage , the reporting and photos of the changing battlefields that was featured on all first pages and centerfolds.
Still, I tried to understand the owners need to purchase so many seemingly identical papers each day. In a moment of clarity, I realized that the person was a sports fanatic, a horse and dog aficionado . Each edition had the latest sports entries, odds, spread, track , conditions, drops, total, phenomenal baseball coverage. The owner probably studied each issue like a bible!
In addition there is intriguing local news, funnies, advertising, classified, and so much more!
Not for every person, but for the true historian
Pages are browned. Slight tears on edges. First page folded.
The hard cover is faded , binding is holding well.
